Spray graphite or some other dry lube might prevent you from needing to drop cash on a new release. If that doesn't work, chime back in and let the peanut gallery do what it does.

Agree with KDM.
But if you go looking there hasn't been a Scott release I never liked, things last forever.

I have tried graphite. Just a bandage. Very annoying when your walking out west

In that case, I shoot a trufire wrist model with the trigger. I like it for my style of hunting, which is ladder stands or ground blinds. I don't think it would be my choice for spot and stalk though. It dangles to much and would get caught on stuff or get plugged to easily and not work when the time came. Good Luck!!

Look for one with no trigger travel or a trigger travel adjustment. Next is trigger pressure adjustment. Both are important for index finger and thumb trigger releases. Always liked an index finger release to swing back all of the way, can wear it and tuck it back inside cuff on wrist when stalking. Thumb releases I suggest a full contained clamp so it can hang from d loop and at the ready.

I have a tru fire wrist and a tru ball t handle thumb release w/ a swivel head. The latter definitely has more advantages , just hooks on the d-loop, not getting in the way, and always ready to go.
For some reason I wore the wrist release Thanksgiving night and a buddy and I were set up 25 yards away from each other watching 2 different lanes in a yard, regretted wearing that one as it was just getting in my way with gloves on and with trying to communicate back n forth.
I chose to wear it as I'm gradually switching over and it was just a comfort thing, never again in the cold though. Those cheap little heat packs can become man's best friend quickly this time of year.
