      Some Thoughts:

When the State shuts down millions of private businesses but doesn’t lay off government employees, it's not about your health.

When the State prevents you from buying cucumber seeds because it's dangerous, but allows in person lottery ticket sales, it's not about your health.

When the State tells you it's dangerous to go golf alone, fish alone or be in a motor boat alone, but the Governor can get his stage make up done, and hair done for 5 TV appearances a week, it's not about your health.

When the state puts you IN a jail cell for walking in a park with your child because it’s too dangerous but let’s criminals OUT of jail for their health - it’s not about YOUR health!

When the state tells you it’s too dangerous to get treated by a doctor, chiropractor, or physical therapist, yet deems an abortion essential - It’s not about your health!

When the State lets you go to the grocery store or hardware store but is demanding mail-in voting, ITS NOT ABOUT YOUR HEALTH.

With major events like Sturgis where people come from all over the US it's impossible to analyze the impact because out of state results are recorded in their home state. Same here with the out of state oilfield workers. No idea who came up with the covid record keeping system but I hope they aren't in charge of anything important.

to some extent. But in reality if what they say is true cases of locals that live and work there will skyrocket. And if contract tracing works like they think it’ll be easy to determine where the rest got it

I agree but get a chuckle out of "If what they say is true". How are we supposed to know the truth if we don't see the numbers for ourselves before they are inflated or deflated ? Somebody's got to keep these conniving fools honest and set them straight. I've read and heard more BS stories and polar opposite opinions on this crap than anything ever in my lifetime. Some people are making it sound worse and some trying to blow it off as the common cold and they keep arguing over and over that the other side is wrong. I think those of us that don't want to be part of the political division BS deserve solid first hand numbers before they get inflated or deflated. I've lost a lot of respect for mankind during this event, It's been a real eye opener.

Q: what percent of the US population has died of the covid?

A: trick question because they linked $$$$$$ to reporting covid deaths there was an astronomical level of fraudulent reporting

now we’ll never know now, because of greed and politics

Greed and politics is right. I'd think the Law of averages state by state and big city by big city should put us fairly close and point a finger at the facilities that have been falsely reporting.

We are still at the tip of the iceberg of duration and knowledge of this ugly beast. We may never know all the answers but there are a lot of questions.

When the present the number of deaths from all causes for 2020 just avg those deaths for past ten years and you will be able to figure the actual Covid deaths.

Yup, And do it now and break it down by quarters and see if they are lying just as bad now as they were last quarter. Once the facilities get wind of it they wont be so brave about cheating.

Two weeks ago today, my 4 yr old was exposed in a daycare setting. We found out about it two days later. To be fair, they must not have known about it immediately. Perhaps a parent turned up positive, and had been in the daycare two days earlier. Whatever.

They closed the daycare immediately, let everybody know via email, etc. By this time, I had been to work twice.

      Worked from home since then.

Today is my first day back in the office.

My family of 5 has experienced no symptoms.

Last Friday, I went in myself, to get tested. I'm told positive results will be available in 24 to 48 hours. Negative in 5 to 7 days.

This morning, I had an email stating that I tested negative.

      Now some questions:

      1) If this is as virulent as I've heard, how can I be negative? I didn't stay away from my 4 yr old any more or less than normal.
      2) As of Friday at 11:30, I'm negative, but I could have been exposed since then. We all could be exposed at any time. Shall we panic?
      3) Are we all supposed to live under a rock, until the powers that be, deem it safe?

3A) How long should one assume they're just asymptomatic, before getting tested?
3B) Since we're all supposed to be scared, and compliant, how often should I get tested?
(by the way, the test sucks) Should I have my 4 yr old go through that test? How often?

One of the things that bothers me about all of this, and I know I'm not alone, is that the "experts" say "We just don't know enough about it to say things with great conviction". I get that. I understand that. But if we don't know, why are we panicking?

      My two cents...

Yep it’s been nothing but a wild ass scientific guess. And the so called experts won’t listen to the doctors on the street because they don’t like the message. JayKay did they test you for antibodies? That’s what they should have done

And how come it seems we haven't learned anything new in 6 months of this? Supposedly there has been contact tracing and you would think that they would start seeing some patterns, yet we hear nothing, least I haven't. Questions: Am I more likely to catch it at Walmart, church, the bar, playing softball, neighbors, etc.? Is the virus as contagious as first thought, it seems like many bunches of people have contact but only 1 comes away with the virus? How many of these positives actually get sick, how sick?

We too had an incident at our daycare a couple of weeks ago and I still don't really understand any of it. A staff tested positive so they tested all the staff and a bunch of families went in and got tested as well. Zero positives in at least 100+ people tested and they don't even know how long she had it because she was asymptomatic. Last week I had 2 of my own employees exposed so they were sent home and both tested on Friday. Both came back negative as well as the guys wife and daughter. Between work and daycare I've received so many different emails and answers it would make your head spin. The only thing I know is that it is so inconsistent in the way they test and do things that it just confuses things more than help them. A guy across the street from shop was air lifted to Fargo a week ago with it so I'm not saying it isn't serious it's just that there is zero consistency with how things are handled.

One thing we know for sure is that it affects people with underlying medical issues far worse than those without. The CDC has also said contracting it by touching contaminated objects is far less likely than originally thought. We also know the younger you are the less likely you are to catch it and less likely to be symptomatic. It also affects elderly much more seriously. So generally speaking if you have underlying health problems be damn careful. If your elderly be damn careful. If your young and healthy continue on with your life as usual.

I gotta agee Eye. One of the guys that i know who had was down and out for four days. He said it like a real bad cold. He did also acknowledge that quitting smoking 20 years was a good thing but he also assumed it made the chinah virus hit him harder. He has no side effects from coming down with it either.
