Was going to post this in the "POTUS Stock Market" thread, but moved it over to the genpop page, so all could see it. Who among you fine financial experts in this time of unprecedented volatility wants to play CALL THE DOW?

Simply venture a guess as to what the Dow Jones Industrial Average will be at the close on Fri. May 1, 2020. Closest wins (over or under), ties broken by earlier prediction, eligible predictions must be posted on this thread before the open (8:30am CST) on Wed. Apr. 1, one entry per person, any edited entry posts (for any reason) will be removed from consideration on May 1. Winner gets a dozen hand-tied 1/16 oz crappie jigs from yours truly.

I say 16,645.32. If anyone else wants to volunteer a small, non-cash prize for the winner with their guess, that's cool too, but not required. We'll settle it all out May 1!

Now instead of just watching your 401k disappear, you've got another reason to monitor the market in these times of want and woe!

25,555.55. That's about where I called quits last year and took my money and run.

Predictions must be exact numbers to the 100th (ie: 12345.67) "19,500 and some change" is not a valid entry. ;:;rofl

All these guesses just goes to show no one has a damn clue what the market is going to do and it's nothing but big boy gambling and insider trading.
