If anyone has ever thought about mounting a rod holder on a DitchWitch and trolling across a frozen lake. Would have to have an auger to drill a hole to retrieve your catch, but think of the possibilities!!!

No ditchwitch, but I was able to troll a 4-5" wide crack in Stump lake one time about 18 years ago. I did it just because I could, for maybe 60-80 ft.

Don't remember catching anything while I did that but we sure put the hurt on the perch that day from ordinary ice holes.

I watched a video this winter where they cut a big circle in the ice, then put a trolling motor in the circle and got it spinning, so trolling in circle.
