Was planning on hitting up sak early August for 3 or 4 days. Was wondering what part of the lake is best that time of year? And any places close for lodging?

I agree, and it is sooooooooo hot in August there, you have to wear 5 of those cooling LONG sleeved fishing shirts with hoods.

My Sak knowledge on a scale of 1-10 is about a 4 but you could probably pick any part of the lake at that time of year and do reasonably well. Be prepared to fish fairly deep (~30). I'd probably check into lodging as that seems to be the tricky part if you don't have a camper and go from there.
