IMO this shit was spread by GNF for at least 2-3 years. Only a matter of time before it shows up in every lake they stocked from the VC hatchery.

Sounds like they've been there for at least 2 years now. They found some bigger than the ones in Ashtabula. You can't tell there is an in Lake LaMoure because it is disgusting right now. I would guess that they will be saying there is blue/green algae in there in a week or two.

It's like the Covid, can only slow it down. The spread is inevitable.

Yep with not inspecting every boat coming into the state it will happen on all lakes. We are not pro-active enough all units coming into the state or going out and coming back should have to stop and be inspected and cleaned. Don't care what it costs.

I heard they used the same trailer they used to transplant the mountain lions...

I also heard they used the same thought process as when they kept issuing deer tags in huge numbers even though the deed herd had been decimated.

many lakes next door to infected lakes go years without infection

seems unlikely if waterfowl were a decent vector

I wonder how many lakes with no ramps (remote lakes) have ever been infected?

Besides being a hindrance on water pipes and other manmade structures have they caused any catastrophic damage to any system yet? Serious question.

My kids are in that lake sometimes multiple times a week. I'm more worried about there feet than how it's going to affect the fishery.

Well it’s a good thing the G&F charges us the $15 ANS fee. That’s gonna stop the spread. Idiots

Lincoln, kinda...
If they are in Lake LaMoure, that means they are in the James River. Once in the James, they now have a clear path to about half of the Missouri River.
