I can still smell your easterness in every post. Your cowboy act ain’t fooling any of your homies. You’re still an eastern ND ###hole deep down.

Embrace your heritage. Be Proud. Boy.

Sorry about the poser shit.
I do however drink from a can, and my dog sits in the back of the pickup, no fancy kennel nonsense for me. I also don't clean my guns annually, or give 2 shits if someone eats seeds in my boat, so I am turning a bit western after my 20 year absence from eastern high culture.

Told a lady at the carpet store in Fargo, when I was in with my father the still eastern guy that was buying some new carpet, that I lived in Gods country, also known as western ND, and she straight up said to me "we call that area the armpit of the state, your in Gods country right now".
What a fricken (have never left the zip code) bitch.

Royce is doing great. After 2 1/2 ACL surgeries he's fit as a fiddle but I'm absolutely paranoid about taking him pheasant hunting again - the thought of him gimped again is kinda nauseating. On the other hand - he was never as happy as when he was pheasant hunting. He gives me that longing look every time I handle a gun. Ugh.

He still plays with toys like a puppy at times, loves ice fishing (staring down the hole), killing squirrels, and posing in suggestive positions on the couch. I'll try to post a few pics of the gray ghost in coming days.

easterners get 2 limits a hunt?

I can see why Armstrong is pointing fingers...haha
I also enjoy how guywhohunts is not wearing an orange hunting suit with a bunch of gold chains hanging off himself.

Buy a license in the dog's name. Once they're over 2 that's the equivalent of 14yrs old. Hunting cattails in the snow can net plenty of birds that the dog catches/retrieves with nary a shot fired, thus the license for doggie.

Or the 2nd limit might be that of the photographer ya Dolt.

Awe,thanx #guywholoveshisbigpoodle,Royce is looking good these days, was unaware he had acl issues, tuff deal,he can still tag along road hunting making easy retrieves ,my last pup hunted easy stuff until he was 13yrs old, couldn't leave the house w/o him, gave me the stink eye if I tried,he caved when I brought home a new pupper knew he was done ,still 15 great years with him.And agreed loved ice fishing,so much so had to put a deck on my wheeler just for him to ride along.

it was the only rooster he scented up during a two mile jaunt through some seriously crappy terrain

Knowing a bird was gonna get up, and having not shot a pheasant in a few seasons, there was some serious skeet team pressure to perform

It sure felt good to connect on the first shot - I was happy for Royce - relieved for myself :)

That’s a piece of HDPE that I bent and hung under my rack. My popup and chairs go in there.

A mesh net holds everything in. Love it.

used ratchet straps to “persuade” the 1/4” sheet

bolted it onto the rack

pretty simple once I stared at it for a week - then built a crappy one from 1/8 smaller sheets and was pissed - then redid it the right way

That is a very neat way to create more storage on a utv. My tracks on my Ranger throw a little to much snow though. Everything in there would be covered with snow and slush on mine.

My tracks throw lots too. But only the ends might get wet - and only when it’s warm/slushy. I also lined the top of the rack with HDPE so the tube contents stay quite dry. The combo of the giant rod box and sheets prevent the tube’s contents from getting wet.

I built it so I could slide the popup in/out by myself - saving my back.

The cargo webbing that holds the tube contents in also holds vexilars in place on each end. We can fish without moving a thing other than drilling a hole and grabbing a rod. Makes scouting less taxing for my old bones. I can also watch my vex from in the cab if jigging out the side door - the vexilars rotate.

The tube width matches the track width - so the open ends are generally outside the track throw pattern.
