my recommendation based on tire size :

NOKIAN TIRE ROTIIVA AT PLUS or GOODYEAR WRANGLER ULTRATERRAIN AT both are 10ply tires
These 2 are on my radar, they both had a "best" rating.

Pirelli sometimes they are discounted. Good on ice and snow and long mileage tire. Toyo A/t on my F350, like the tire but never get advertised miles out of them.

Not real feasible for most people but as a mechanic with access to a balancer I rotate and balance every time I change my oil. Probably overkill but if wear patterns never start tires last alot longer.

Not a problem, buy your tires from where you get your oil changed. I believe when I was buying my tires through Eide Ford in Bismarck, not only did they price match the tires, but they also added in free tire rotations. Which at every 5k was equal to my oil change interval on the 6.4L diesel.

I have the craziest dang thing going on with my car. About every mile or two it chatters , almost sounds Like tires slip and flex with posiitraction because ones bigger than the other or something . When I first noticed it was getting worse I put new tires on and it went away . Then it came back a while later so I rotated the tires and it still does it. I don't know if I should worry or ignore .

I do my own rotation so that is not an issue on tire longevity.
I think it's just the heavy diesel and light ass end.

My mistake, tire size is 265/75/16.

Though not quite as aggressive as the AT3 XLT, Cooper does offer their AT3 LT in your size. They actually list two versions in that size. I believe "E" rating is heavier then "C".

Thanks all for your input. Decided on the General Grabber Atx. Had excellent reviews, and rebates until 10/31/20
Cooper At3 LT was a close second.
First 200 mile impression Hwy / gravel. Handle well, 0 road noise, and are not rock tossers like I thought they would be. Traction yet to be determined, as I stayed off wet prairie roads while out hunting/scouting.

I know you will like the general grabbers which is what I have on my pickup, its too bad though that the coopers didn't have your size because I think that tire would have given you more miles then the grabber. I had the Cooper AT3 lt first good for lots of miles but suck on the ice which is why I got the grabber. Maybe these atx have a firmer compound compared to the at2 I had before which I didn't fare well with good milage so I got the coopers at2. Anyways I'm not the best on making sure to document how many miles between rotations but I rotate them my self without getting them balanced. They seam to me that I haven't needed to and I drive all kinds of different road conditions from gravel to pavement.

The one thing that makes the grabber better on gravel then the bf Goodrich is because the lug spacing allowing less rocks to be picked up don't you just love your bf Goodrich tires when then pick up a stone and you can here that click click on the pavement.

Yes the BF were terrible for throwing rocks for the 1st couple thousand miles.
Would have like to had a set of the Cooper At3 xlt. Look like a mighty fine tire. Didn't want to start jacking with tire sizes as I am already oversized from stock. Also spare ( height) is same as my 18" summer tire/ wheel combo so don't need to swap.

I did a quick search and it looks like the Cooper light truck tires are made in China. Looks like the General's are made in the USA. We can thank China for a lot of shit in the USA right now. Including the possibility of our government being taken over by a bunch of liberal socialist's.
Fuck China whenever you can!

I’m a fan of kanati trail hog from fire stone. I have 40,000 on a half ton and over half tread left. Look like duratrax but half price 10 ply

Cannot keep tires on this thing.
114,300 miles , have had 2 sets of BFG ko, and on a set of Firestone Destination that have about 19k that are about 2/3 shot. I swap out and put wheel/ tire combo on for summer time, so the others are only doing about 30k/yr fall and winter.
I rotate religiously and check pressure frequently. Wheel alignments also. Any other tire recommendations ( other than sell truck) ?

I'll buy the truck

Nice looking rig man! FWIW, I think you went the right direction. I still have one pair of Cooper AT3's that are on my hunting rig. They're a good tire, but they don't last if you run gravel much. Running gravel and such, the Generals have been solid as well as Duratracs and Dynapro.

My Coopers are also cracking on the side walls. Certainly in part due to my hunting rig sitting around a lot, but still not impressed with that.

Anyone have any experience with these? Kenda AT 2's, newer to the market. 3Peak rated, good warranty, budget friendly.
