Fleet Farm and Scheels are pretty well picked clean of any useful handgun or rifle caliber. Even shotgun pickins are extremely thin.

Vista Outdoors controls much (if not most) of US ammo manufacturing. (Federal, Blazer, American Eagle, Speer, CCI, Remington, etc). Their CEO said this week that they have a $1 billion backlog of ammo orders that will take more than a year to fill.

I'll be happy if Barnes bullets remain unchanged by Sierra's purchase.

I spent all my ammo money on toilet paper. But i will be wiping my ass for 37 years without worry.

Maybe the guys with closets full of ammo can stop buying/hoarding so the folks who don't have any can have a better chance at getting some? I know guys still scavenging ever box they can find, even though they have a closet full.

Buying? LOL Nope. We’ve been reverse buying.

Buy enough to get you through next season. You’ll never regret having enough ammo. Unless maybe you live in your car.

Preparedness can't be argued. Paranoia can. I heard the same thing when Obama got elected. Then the rash of horrible mass shooting happened. The world was ending, guns and ammo were going away, etc. That's the mindset of a coworker who literally has a LIFETIME of .22 ammo in his closet, let along the other calibers. That sure doesn't help the guy who wants to go plinking with his kids on a nice day who is looking for ammo. I've got plenty of what I need. I guess we all have a different definition of prepared. Hopefully they can crank out a bunch and the shelves will be full sooner or later. If you want to get new folks into shooting sports, their has to be ammo available. Nobody is buying a 9mm when you can't find a box of ammo anywhere in town.

Buying ammo.... that’s bush league. Being able to reload for years is the true prepers way

I quit buying because the price went up way too much. Everyone else can buy the over priced fmj ammo.

If you can find reloading components! Certain powders and primers are the hardest to find out west. My magnum calibers are set for life but finding regular primers is as tough as finding 9mm ammo.....
