Heading way north of Genora tomorrrow for last ditch effort, gonna jump from plots to plots, unless someone that hunts 3A1 can steer me in good direction, seeing little dinks on posted mostly of Friday, when I hit the Alamo/Wildrose area, one nice one in tall grass on posted just outside of state school land, don't ask what words I said, won't repeat....lol Wish me luck, I"ll report back end of day. Carry on

Check out the lake zahl refuge and the lostwood refuge. If I wasn't working I'd be out there helping ya find one.

Averaged about 250 miles a day and actually the three biggest ones I seen where on plots or open land but no buck tag in the vehicle so that’s how it always goes! Did you get a deer???

I’m sure if I had a buck tag I would have hunted a lot different and not seen anything, that sucks hopefully next year you can get a nice big double drop!!!

Mort, I didn’t fill my buck tag either.(3A3)Does it suck, kinda. Some days seen lots of deer some days not. On the colder days seen more deer than on the warmer days. The rut didn’t kick in until the second weekend. Seen lots of does and quite a few bucks. Of the bucks I did see, I would say 10 were shooters, 3 that were very nice, just couldn’t get things to work in my favor.
Now for the good stuff. With out a tag I wouldn’t of seen:
This sun rise on the morning of the 13th

These 3 moose enjoying the beautiful fall weather.

My daughter shoot her second buck of her hunting career.

And getting to watch this beautiful sunset to close the 2020 season

It’s the little thing in life that matter:;:rockit. Filling your tag is just a bonus.

Thanks for the pics Tikka, sunset was cool this year, but bright sun kills my eyesight to be honest, especially around sunset. This was the year of murphy's law for me, didn't matter what I did, it went south on me, its a long complicated story lol

I do have bow tag tho, no blind or stand. but don't have private land to hunt for bow

Lincoln, kinda...
Filling your tag is just a bonus.

I humbly disagree, filling the tag immediately turns one of my favorite hobbies into work. Field dressing, dragging, and cutting up the deer are by far my least favorite parts of hunting. And it gets worse every year.
