Just starting to run pattern blinds with the dog and got some momentum going so I will pass on any cold to be able to keep training.

That dark patch of ice has me worried. There is a significant crack or small ridge right on this side of dark patch. Yesterday wind blew the open water that was coming up and made that darker patch.

Any ice updates from down south, Yates, Cattail, Langliers etc? Also how much sand is on the ice after all that wind?

Just got off the ice. Fished Yates intake out by main channel. I forgot to put my tape to it but it was the thickest I've been on this year. Guessing 9 to 10 inches. Probably more back by golf hill. Fishing was all really small ones.

Oh and the sand is hard to see, my blades are getting dull, but I have a gas auger so I just put some weight on it.

2/21 17 inches in front of Fort Yates. Every hole I checked with tape measure was 17". Even the holes over main channel in 40 fow. There were numerous full size pick-ups across the river in front of Winona Island.
