I could not fathom putting $1,000 or more into a set. I would struggle with a quarter of that

Just think of them as beer goggles that only find hotties, but for hunting.......

Pretty sure my binoculars are tasco brand, and I have had them for 40 years, handed down from my rich father.

I could not fathom putting $1,000 or more into a set. I would struggle with a quarter of that.

Not sure if I am just an average Joe hunter, or maybe below average with my mentality of expensive shit like this being an entirely to common waste of money.

Never "glassed" a critter 800 yards away that I needed to chase after.

Anyone want any more financial advise, feel free to ask..
Some people ride Harleys. Some people gamble. I do neither but like to hunt. I had a set of Tasco that literally fell apart in my hands after 3 years which led to my Monarchs. They have served me well just looking for more. I have chased several animals I’ve spotted over 800 yards away with the monarchs, maybe I just try harder I don’t know. Thanks for the financial advice though.

You could have purchased 500 tasco looking glasses for what you have there, probably 800 sets...

call me next time you get the urge.

But then he would have to live with being blind. After looking through swaro and going to tasco you will hack your eyeballs out with a rusty spoon

Ha ha ha I like that Leupold rangefinder for what I do Matt!
And I was just trying out the big 95m, buddy that sold me the 80 HD wants it back and didn't want to much $ in return.
I went out hoping I would really like it. But like him I couldn't stand the 30x min zoom, so hard to find stuff quick in it.
Awesome glass and that 70x max is damn cool when you could use it without the heat waves. But trying to scan/glass over country with the 95 made me nauseous. I kept my 80.

did you get to use it with the btx eye piece I would think that would be pretty awesome. Only problem I have is about 8 grand shy of getting that set up right now haha

No Kurt, and we actually talked about that. I think that 30x min into one eye is kind of like "overloading " your vision and a btx is probably the answer. Sure wish they sold 15x-40x wide angle eyepieces!

Ya that wide angle would be amazing on there. I could see that high power in the single eye getting taxing over time and causing some eye strain for sure

"Sure wish they sold 15x-40x wide angle eyepieces!" Every year at the shotshow I would tell them to make a lower min power ! Its the only complaint on swaro's, and I have 4 binos, 2 range finders, spotting scope, and bought my boys their first pair swaro's when they were still in high school.
