What do you mean "woke up on the ice in 2006 quit"? Actually ice making conditions could not be much better this year with the lack of snow cover. Getting cold enough to make ice at night, and not near warm enough to lose any during the day. Ice is very clear and clean, at least in this part of the state.

I woke up once with a walleye shoved up my ass. Would never tell anyone about it though...

Back in the day I could piss an acceptable hole. Now it would be a stalagmite due to volume and frequency.

I am at the point in my life that I now have to get up at least once in the night to piss, but my constant guzzling of water all day long might be more at play than anything else.

Pissing a fishing hole should be one of my advantages, I will report back.

BTW, it's tricky to rock a rhyme.

Our local lake is mostly open water, but a skiff of ice in the wind protected areas, and enough ice at the ramp to hold up the big rocks for ice thickness checking sonsabitches

I've lost a lot of good rocks checking ice thickness this year.

I wonder when cavemen first started checking ice with big rocks.

What’s amazing is that they’re still doing it.
