The 6.5 Creed comparison is fair enough, but there's a lot better bullets for 7mm RM and 300 WSM.

I think it’s funny how you think you are more knowledgeable than most regarding ballistics, calibers, and elk.[/QUOTE]

To my last knowledge: M70's are made in Columbia, SC (bbls) and Portugal. All others are made in Japan. Not disputing FN ownership.

If they are stamped "Made in Belgium by Fabrique National" that would be a good deal.

Seems like a good rd but it's all been done long ago; especially with hunting.

FUN FACT: A common misconception is the Geneva Convention requires FMJ. No. It disallows unnecessary suffering. The dispute between wounding and killing in war continues: For twenty fucking years in Afghanistan.

When will the chasm between .224 and .243 or .284 and .308 be filled?

Between 243 and 284 a 264 and 277 or even better a 6.8 would be great. I'm not sure a 295 would go over that well, but maybe today if you called it a 7.5mm people would flock to it's magic. I was waiting to buy a 6.5WSM, but Winchester let me down and decided to go redundant with the .277 and .284.
