Would be interesting to know how many of us were watching the game when he broke Babe Ruth's HR record. I was and remember it as being quite the big deal. No steroid discussion over that feat. Don't remember any showboating as he rounded the bases,, just a humble man with more celebrating from his teammates than "Hammering Hank." RIP

Although I was pretty young, I remember Henry trotting around the bases, you are spot on, no show boating, very humble and a quiet greatness.
