Ah...well I do appreciate the heads up. My parents found me some hornady match ammo while they were in florida. At $50 a box, I had to get a few. The 147 eldx's just flew too good out of my rifle.

Not switching subjects, but does anybody here remember back in the late 60's people filling the 30-06 cases full with 4831 powder, 2 friends never did use a scale, they never did blow anything up

I have two boxes of Hornady Match 6.5 creedmoor 147 ELD M that I would be willing to trade for other 6.5 creedmoor ammo with more of a hunting bullet.

Also have some 6.5 143 gr ELDX bullets that I would be willing to trade for 6.5, 9mm, .40, or .223 ammo. Could outright sell some of anyone is interested.

Not where I'd like to be

;:;badidea That can work (as in you won't die), depending on the powder and case used, but seems like a pretty bold strategy.

You seem to be constantly on the watch, and good at locating things. I would sure appreciate if you could keep an extra eye out for some Precision Hunter 300 PRC 212 ELDX. I suck at this shit. Was finally able to locate some 225 Match last night, but at $75/box plus $30 shipping, and not being exactly what I wanted, I couldn't justify that.

Thanks

Navigate to the "In-Stock" portion of your favorite retailers website, then add that product family page to your favorites/watched so in 1 click you can see what's in stock and what isn't.

You'll either get better at the search, or you'll watch video and read about other people shooting.

I have 600 Federal Premium Large Rifle Magnum Match primers (GM215M) and 400 CCI 250 Magnum LRP that I would trade for Small rifle primers, either CCI 400 or 450.

Had my local gun store order me some large primer 6.5 creedmoor Lapua brass. Their distributor had plenty in stock if anyone still needs any. I’m sure your local shop uses the same suppliers and can do the same.

Powder Valley has a few Accurate powders 2200, 2520, 4350 and Ramshot Big Game in stock right now. They had some pistol/shotgun stuff from Accuate and Ramshot too but I don't follow that stuff much.

midway had a lot of tips in stock yesterday. i picked up 200 berger VLDs target in the 180gr version for the 7mm (.284) it was a quicker impulse buy, as i shoot the 175gr elite hunter from berger ( i currently have 400 of those but wanted to pump the numbers up) after looking up the length the VLD is still .018 longer and im not in love with that as i like the load im shooting currently. so if anyone would like these for the price i paid ( $155 with shipping and tax) not looking to make money on em just get my money back . they should be here next week. if not i have the return label printed and approved so i will send em back for nearly a full refund. so PM me would also be interested in trades for H4350 or H4831sc

Who has time to do this shit multiple times a day??? Somebody should start a business where they are paid commission to hunt down reasonably priced components and ammo for people. Would be a good side job. You really need to be on top of it all day every day, unfortunately. I also signed up for Ammoseek and usually by the time I create a new customer sign up for that particular retailer, and get payment info entered, it's too late.

I just timed it. It took me less than 25 seconds TOTAL to check the in-stock powder supply at Midway, Precision reloading, Midsouth, and Grafs. Like I said, set up a few bookmarks/favorites so it's a single click to whatever specific product or product family you're looking for.

57 seconds to scroll through the Powder Valley smokeless powder page. Nothing currently in stock.

By the way. Precision reloading has 1# bottles of IMR 4831 with a max of 10 as of 5min ago.

There are people who are paid a commission to hunt down components, they're called retailers. IME, they'll go out of their way to help folks who've treated them well in the past. People who haven't treated retailers well in the past are going to be relegated to devoting lots of time to finding their own components/ammo or paying the higher "commissions" being demanded @ "Gunbroker Prices".
