I've never fished the far west end of Sakakawea at all. Planning out summer adventures and are looking at fishing in the Tobacco Gardens to White Earth areas. Main thing I'm curious about is water clarity as it looks like inflows can make things pretty muddy. What should expectations be in that area in mid June? Trying to fish some new water this summer. Thanks!

Usually still pretty good then. But your a close shot to the casino area if they’ve moved down. Clarity usually isn’t a problem that time of year most years. Unless we get a bunch of late may or early June rains. I would probably stay at white earth. More centrally located. Easy run any direction from there.

I agree with exexer unless there's a bunch of rain that time can great fishing by white earth or across on antelope flats pull flicker minnows to cover area then key in on schools phelps bay area will hold fish usually off the rock points or trolling the coal vanes plenty of different areas to try but mind the wind that stretch can get plain nasty with a westerly wind.

Thanks for the insight. Wind certainly looks like it could be a pain there, not many places to hide or deal with it. But wind can get you anywhere I guess! Appreciate it!

Will depend on the direction.

the june rise can be really good or really bad for the west end... we get clean water from the yellowstone and mud from the missouri...

not sure how much snow northern mt got... that will dictate the water clarity on the west end...

couple years ago the mud line was past white earth for most of the summer...
