I said it in another thread, and I'll say it again: Terry was smart to retire before this electronic posting debacle blows up, and now the "double tags" in deer license envelopes fiasco!
Scott has been with the NDG&F for long enuf time to know it's workings and where improvements can be made. Let's give him a chance, rather than bringing in an out-of-stater that doesn't know enuf about ND to fill a matchbook cover!

Let's face it, if Terry did his job (and yes, I have always liked the guy), there should be a pool of well qualified applicants in the dept.

Succession planning is an important part of being a leader.

Peterson has been deputy director since 2014. He’s also applied for the permanent position.

They’re probably looking for someone with a fresh perspective. You know, bring some new ideas in from out of state, since we native ND’s are backward hillbilly types.
He is having a hard time deciding who he wants to appoint from the ND Farm Bureau or the Stockmans Association……..
