I have a 10/22 that I purchased in 1968. It is very great shape. Has a very nice walnut stock.
Anyway I would like to put a target barrel on it. When I looked at a couple of YouTube videos it seems somewhat easy.

Have anyone put a target barrel on a 10/22? If so what barrel? I would like one a couple inches longer (20 inch) than the original. Also blued not stainless.

THX!

The swap is absolutely as easy as it looks.

I don’t have any real advise, not enough experience with the available options.

I guess I do have 1 small bit of advise, don’t hog out your original Walnut to fit a target bbl.

It doesn't destroy anything Zogman, simply keep the original things to put it back together. Instead of a new gun buy a new stock. I have a Volquartsen carbon barrel on mine. It does a half inch at 50 yards with some of the standard ammo. At one time I had 30 bricks of Winchester Dynapoint. I have one brick left that I am saving.

I put an ER Shaw bull barrel on mine Along with a Boyd’s Evolution stock. I really really like that gun and it shoots very well. Easy to do and took me about 8 minutes for both.
