I've sadly decided Hormel "No Beans" is my favorite. Seriously. Anyone care to share? IME it's all too sweet or hot. I do add a bit of cayenne to Hormel.

IMHO: Oscar Mayer "All Beef" is the best grocery store wiener: I said "grocery store".

NOT a critique! Is the meat browned before simmering? I don't understand the ketchup necessity in the tomato sauce and chipotle seems exotic to my grocery store sensibilities. I appreciate your post and am skilled at fucking myself.

My wife's home made chili, grilled hotdogs, chopped onions, a handful of crushed up Fritos and shredded cheese on top.

Hormel no bean chili (hot, if you can find it) and jalapeno cheese whiz makes a pretty tasty chip dip, too. 1:1.

Wimmers are my favorite (used to know a USDA inspector that was at their plant, no byproducts all whole muscle meats in their hot dogs)

when I lived in new york one of the few things that were good about it were the "Michigans" hot dogs with michigan sauce. here is one of the many recipes I found with search term michigan sauce
