^^^^I agree. Kick is a problem and current optics negate ME and FPE. Dead is dead. The .264 Win is now "mild". I'm of the belief all shotguns should be 16's: Preferably SXS's. Nickel Steel M-97's/12's are also acceptable. Anyways I'm wanting a nice wood 6.5 SE.

6.5 Swede and you pick a Brunette as your female comparator? Old Mil Swedish Bikini Team commercials say your comparison of anything "Swede" to a brunette female is significantly flawed.

55/57MM cartridges suffer from being too long or too short. You've got to seat the projectile REALLY deep to shoehorn them into a 2.8" short-action mag box, save maybe the 'Roberts as .257 projectiles are relatively short already. If one is using a long action with a 3.34" or longer mag box then one of the '06 based options boosts performance significantly without much extra recoil.

I'd place Dawn in the 300 Savage or 250-3000 realm.

Zuckerberg keeps wanting us to be friends.

I’m afraid to… she looks like she could pin me in 20 seconds.

I see your logic and replace it with unreasonableness of my own.

Also, doesn't the 7 Mauser fall within this length?

Also also SnoXChic would be an excellent face for the 6.5 SE.

The 6.5/300 Wby mag bitch is the 264 Win Mag

I ran a few scenarios in QL, the 26Nos outruns the 6.5-300Wby, not by much <50FPS but independent of powder/projectile, the 26Nos was always just a bit faster.

Stands to reason as the 26Nos has 99gn of capacity vs. 98 for the 6.5-300Wby, and does it @ 3.34". Assuming Rem or Rem clone there's lots of room in the mag-box to seat longer and the 26Nos offers more COAL latitude than does the Wby.

Here's mine:

Winchester Model 70 action
1:7.5 Brux #3
Mcmillan
Leupy Mark 4
Talleys
Omega 300

It has a stock Winchester MOA trigger in it that sucks, but will eventually get taken care of.
