about 200 yards, 234 Winchester, tikka t3, quartering towards, bullet entered behind front leg, demolished one lung, through liver, caught corner of stomach, was recovered about 1 inch into back ham.

I've had similar experience with the TTSX that I use. Same for a .243, 25-06, and .270. Use 80 gr. in the .243, 100 in the .25, and 110 in the .270 unless it's for elk and then use 130gr. . Don't recover many but the few I have there has been less than 1-2 gr. in weight lost.

Had one similar recovered. Barnes TTSX 139gr out of a 7mm-08. Really impressed with the bullet especially for personally just making the copper switch. Easy tracking too. Deer didn’t go far.

Good thing it was a 234. We all know what happens when it's the "other" one.

      On a side note:

I didn't shoot my deer with a Barnes product this fall. I think hell may be freezing over....

I shot my buck @ 100 yards with my 264 and a 156 EOL. Hard quartering with it's ass to me. Entered rear rib cage and exited front offside shoulder. Quarter sized going in...MULTPLE exit wounds. Largest being 2x quarter sized. I found pieces of that bullet in the front shoulder, heart, rear quarter and backstrap. Lungs were complete goo, liver was half gone and there was a dime sized hole in it's heart.

Deer didn't even twitch. He just fell straight down and laid there.

It was a clear, crisp, calm morning and I think the thud of that bullet hitting is still echoing down that draw.

The bullet fragments I found weighed 26.8 gr combined.

      It was interesting.

You look a lot different than your profile picture. Not saying better, just different.

Did you weight the bullet after recovery?

There is a bit of hair and stuff stuck under the petals I wasnt able to get out with a pin, might explain the extra weight...

Nah, I've weighed bullets and broadheads when new for shits and giggles. You would be surprised at how different they can be from advertised weight.
