Went a couple years ago, drug an ice castle over there for a couple days. Ate some sort of concoction at registration they said was chili, it was the worst ever. Seen some strippers at some local dive bar that had no business strippin. Lost a coinflip and had to driveback to eastbay hammered, that sucked still remember. Woke up saturday morning to like negative 20 degrees, never left the house to go to the derby cuz it was too damn cold.

I think it has grown to like the 2nd largest ice fishing derby/tournament in the U.S. Haters got to hate though! Good luck to all that come and participate. It is a good boost to this community in January! Thanks to all for coming! The Fire Dept does an awesome job! Hats off!!

I was wondering is all would be a great way to see if those electric augers can handle drilling that many holes or how many holes a element auger can actually drill. Real data
One of the big tournaments in MN will be drilled with all electric strikemaster augers and a ton of extra batteries so I guess we will see how that goes. I would be worried about overheating.

It's pretty depressing to learn there are still enough Old Mil drinkers out there to empty the normal bar's 12 pack of that shit.

You should move up to Bud Light. :;:smokin

I was there this year for my first time. It was quite the operations and will say it was very well ran. Here are some stats for you all.

Over 7,000 holes drilled and roughly 80 volunteers drilled all these holes
roughly 3,600 people fished (3579 unofficially),
92 walleye caught
12 perch
8 pike
Gentlemen from the same hotel we were was staying in caught 5 walleye and didn't place. His group caught 11 walleye total and didn't place.
But I enjoyed every second of it. I will hopefully be going again in the future.
