European Mount Hanging

What are you using to mount/display European mounts ? Got 2 that are about ready and nephew is cleaning his up now. Are you dipping, painting, bleaching, or let the sun do its thing ?

Found some at Scheels for $20 that are either table top or wall hanging base/plaque. For that price I just took them all and will use one as a template for the rest if I like how they turn out.

Dakota Millwork in Bismarck has a nice variety of kits and wood types all ready to go. You can even do it to sit on a flat surface or desk.

For Mule Deer I like a board that tips the nose up about ~30 degrees, otherwise the antlers just stick straight out off the wall. A mount/board like this:

For Whitetails I don’t use a board/mount at all. I either use this pictures hanger or just tie a short loop in the 3 skull holes in the pic and loop them over a screw into a stud:
