I would guess the fishing will be good this year, but this may start the lake in a downward cycle.

^^Exactly V - with water levels down, finding fish in concentrated areas be much easier than say 2018 when water levels just shy of 2011. But you are spot on - if we don't begin another decent "wet cycle", Sak's fish population will start to suffer. C'mon moisture!

Praying for a very wet spring. We have a lot on Oahe and if I can't get my boat in, I will probably end up spending my life savings on booze to kill the pain.

March study has basic condition at 1832 now as a peak. Need some snow and rain out west!

That's what I had heard, as well. That means it's only going up four feet and begin to go down at the end of September once more.

We have had very little snow, and fall moisture in Dickinson. Last trip up fishing the boat ramp was out of the water, some islands were much more pronounced than last fall when we departed, and the ice was layered with sand/dirt. After a few holes drilled the blades were dull as can be, that sure can help anything.

Yes sir, if you think a normal summer can be a zoo on the launch pad just wait until July 3rd/4th this year!! ;:;badidea

A fisherman best be at the landing by 6:30am or plan on waiting until 9:30 to touch water. Handguns may appear! LOL

It is looking like Parshall Bay will just have the west ramp, but hey, that is better than waiting for a low water ramp to be put in.

1829 peak now is the forecast. Only a 2' rise. Going to be rough up and down the Missouri River! Oahe ramps are in the same state of affairs. Might just have to spend more time on Sharpe this year.

Yeah, the bottom line is the upper Missouri (including most of ND) has been quite dry the past 6-8 weeks. And that sucks, we were in striking distance of a near normal runoff at the end of January, but things have really gone downhill since then.

Sold the boat couple weeks ago. Timing was perfect it appears. This summer sounds like one giant headache mixed in with tough fishing.

Ya I've never not really had one, we are heading into uncharted waters here. No point in keeping one if a person pretty much can't physically use it anymore though. I get er unhooked in the garage after a long day and then have to figure out how to get up stairs into the house cuz im paralyzed from a blown out back. Juice isn't worth the squeeze anymore. Can't move batteries around anymore cuz that paralyze me for days on end, all just a joke anymore. We are one bad sneeze away from a wheelchair.
