I guess there are places where you can sell your lawn for cash, if I could they could come and get mine. In fact i was kind of hoping mine would have died last year then I wouldn't have to mow it anymore. I live out in the country and visually aesthetic lawn isn't needed. It is nice to read that people are trying to save valuable resources by as something as benign as removing patches of grass and replacing with native desert type landscapes.

I'm not sure if it's illegal in Havasu, Arizona...but if you wanted to have a lawn there you will have a tough time finding a lawn mower. Pretty much everyone uses gravel in their yards and if they want a green space they use artificial turf. It's a pretty foreign looking place to most of the rest of the country.

Holy crap the United states around 40 million acres that take in excess 9 billion gallons of water per day. That's actually the biggest growing crop in the United States, good read bud thanks for posting.
