It's been a very long time since I have made a freshwater fishing video and this one was shot in the fall of 2019 on Edmund lake. However, I am back for the summer and will be shooting plenty of videos hopefully. For this video I used large goldeyes in deep weed beds to catch these big pike. Ps, we're sorry about speaking half polish and half English haha.

Will muskie hit dead bait? Still in a bit of amazement you can "catfish" for pike.

Wow, we've been using dead smelt on OAHE since they put smelt in the system. Shocked that people are surprised?

Deadly in the bays of Lake Sakakawea in the spring after the ice has receded enough from shore. Cast on to the ice and drag the dead smelt until it falls in the drink. Let 'er sit until the bells start to ring and then hold on to your hat! LOL

Pike are notorious scavengers, they'll even suck up old chicken bones off the bottom! Nothing better for big pike after ice out than a big smelt or sucker.

Chicken bones off the bottom. I hope there is a story behind this?

It stems from me first becoming a transplant. Thought I was being hacked on which brings me back to the muskie question...
