Good day for cutting hay. You could cut in morning, rake in afternoon and bale before dark. LB:;:cheers

While all in one day may not be the bestest of ideas, they are making hay while the sun shines and then some around here. A fella cut, baled, and hauled the hayfield down the road from me on consecutive days. I'm not sure I'd have done it so quick, but it's his call. Actually, they were even hauling on the 3rd day up until at least 1 AM.

Well the heat may be good for some things, but it sure knocked the crap outta my poor green beans. Shriveled the leaves like pieces of burnt newspaper. The rest of the garden is OK. Hope every one else's gardens are holding up better than mine. A bit of a cool down wouldn't suck that's for sure.

Give the garden a good soaking before the sun comes up and plants just keep growing. I turn the sprinkler on at 4:00 am and wife shuts them off about 6:00 am,
