I got a standard scheels walleye net. Has anyone ever rubberized a landing net with flex seal spray can type stuff to reduce crankbait tangles? was it effective? Seems like lately i spend 5 minutes after each fish to get the hooks out of it, just looking for a way to reduce that.

TIA

My brother-in-law had a rubber net. We caught a nice, keeper northern but when we went to net it it just opened it's mouth, took a bite out of the rubber net and kept on going. So have a regular net for northerns if you want to keep any.

Lincoln, kinda...
Had to think about this, but I am pretty sure my old net in the fishing boat got sprayed by me with some form of rubber many years ago. I've replaced that netting several times on the old Frabil handle so it's hard to remember exactly if the current one is the one I sprayed, or if it came that way from Cabela's.

Anyway, yes it did work just fine.

p.s. I am guessing what I used was actually spray bedliner.

I bought a rubber landing net and never looked at others. I never have hooks getting caught, or at least more than 2 secs, and getting the fish into the live well and rod/reel ready for the next deploy has been never so easy. Mine is made by Frabill.
