Cant believe it even floated after hitting the throttle. i had a 15 horse johnson on a a12 foot ted williams i thought was fast.

Lol reminds me of the skiff my dad and uncle built back in the late 70's. Was one of those 10 foot wood skiffs from the old national science mags with a 35 hp engine. Literally looked like someone sitting on a lawn chair on top of a piece of plywood with an engine behind them. Surprised they didn't kill themselves.

Would've been interesting to see some slo-mo of the hull-flex.

Nobody got hurt and nothing had to be recovered from the bottom of the lake. Alls well that ends well.

As a kid we made a kind of a hydro plane boat out of plywood --- fiberglassed it - reinforced the motor mount --- all was good - -cept it would rev to much ---- counld not get the right prop. Buzz kill. It hit thirty at what i was guessing 7500rpms but whew knew no guage.
