I can do 48mph all day with 2 people in the boat. I've touched 51 in it by myself!

I've got a 186TFX w/200 & 9.9 Yamaha's that's only a few tics faster.

I've owned 6 boats since I came back from VN in 1972 and still have 5 of them, but 1 is essentially junk - a 9'6" Nisson 3 chamber inflatable. One chamber started leaking air and after a few years the boat ended up too small for my needs, so I replaced it.

Wasn't 9'6", it was 11'6".

Here is what I currently have:

In CA:
I have a 1991 SeaSwirl Striper 210 walk around cuddy with a 351 Ford marine engine that puts out 265 hp. I use it for salmon/albacore fishing, crabbing and tank diving to spear fish. I took out the 60 gallon fuel tank and had a 100 gallon tank installed so I could get out to where the albacore tuna hang-out. They are usually around the edge of the continental shelf from 25 to 40+ miles offshore, but not necessarily straight out.

I replaced the Nisson inflatable with a 13' Achilles and have a 25 hp Johnson to push it. I can easily take 3 guys + myself diving and get up on plane. I use the inflatable to dive for abalone. With help from 2 or 3 friends we launch it over the sand beach in the Mendocino area (Van Damme State Park, Campground and beach) and free dive for abs. The beach cove is protected by reefs, so I just leave it anchored out for the weekend.

In ND on Lake Metigoshe:
I have a Bennington 2280RL pontoon with a 90 hp 4 stroke Merc.

For fishing I have a 1998 YarCraft Storm 1895 with a 200 hp 2 stroke EFI Merc, a 9.9 hp 4 stroke Merc kicker and 24 v MinnKota trolling motor.

Both boats are on ShoreMaster 12 v lifts with canopies.

I upgraded from my 1999 Tyee 1850 to a 2012 Reata 1850. Now that I have a boat with sparkles I get to be a dick out on the lake. If you see me coming get the fuck out of my way because you're in my spot.
