Not the best deal around however there are pallets of 500 bricks at Bismarck scheels, just figured I'd give a heads up while its available, cci and aguila, 45 to 50 a brick so 10 cents a round. No limit

Heck back in the day you would buy a brick and they would throw in an extra box. Lowest i remember paying was $8.00 a brick.

I don't think I've shot my .22 in five years. My baby loved nasty, sooty, $1.99 per 50, 40grn Win T-22. Easy ten shots in a .30cal hole at 50yds from a rest.

I gotta throw a scope on one of the '63's one of these days and see what ammo it likes.

I've just got a 4X Tasco airgun scope taken off a Diana. To achieve these superior groups I would just separate rds by bullet tightness in the case. You and I discussed this many moons ago and you suggested weighing each rd and micing rims. I never got to that point as I was the silent squirrel sniper on leave in the Hills with extreme confidence. I could pile one on the other in the hickories from their natural curiosity and the lack of noise from a 21in bbl. "Bill what's wrong with you?!!" CRACK/POP etc...I would often actually use the Creedmore position as usually I was perched atop a shale pile. Glad I never put a hole in my foot.

Should have spent more time in the beech/white oak for ruff and turkey(legal with .22). Now most of it is a prison yard.

Yup. My .22's have rotated to the back of my gun safe since I got a couple .17 HMR's.

Since I moved out of gopher country and into prairie dog country I've had no use for my .22 LR and .22 WMR for years so I sold them both and bought a .17 WSM. Awesome little rifle that can reach out and touch pdogs past 200 yards. And, you can get ammo for it.

I have not used my 22 for quite some time as well due to ammo issues and have long looked at the 17 wsm but do not know much about them. How do they compare to a 22 and do the come in semi auto or just bolt, I see tons of ammo for them and a lot of time much cheaper than 22 which is never available when I do look which has been rare the last couple years.

Take a look at the you tube video at the link above and you'll get an idea of how the WSM compares to the HMR, WRM and .17 Hornet. There is absolutely no comparison to the .22 LR so it was not included in the group. The WSM is a fantastic pdog gun and with the 25 grain bullet can be used on coyotes with good results. The early Savage WSM's had some problems due to poor quality control and inconsistent ammo quality but those issues have been pretty well resolved. I have a heavy barrel stainless steel Savage BMag that cost me about $335 last year and I'm extremely happy with it. Ruger and I believe Henry also make bolt actions and Franklin and Volkquartsen (sp?) both make autos. The Ruger takes some mods to shoot well and the other three are too rich for my blood so I got the Savage and put a nice Boyd's stock on it. With a nice scope and bipod the outfit set me back about $425 before adding the Boyd's stock. Also, I got a $25 Savage rebate which helped. I think the rebate program is still in affect. Should have probably started a new thread for this, sorry guys.

.22 ammo deals are all over these days, not long ago I put my name on a list to snap up a ruger heavy barrel 10-22 with built in suppressor now that they are legal here in Mn,6-8month wait,in the mean time this summer had issues with woodchucks and feral cats in my area crusing my back forty along the treeline, not to alarm my neighbors I snapped up some cci sub sonic ammo even tho my neighbors are spread out some and we all have some land but who needs the greif of someone calling in about shots fired, this .22LR ammo is the shit, less noise than my .177 pellet gun@ 1200fps,no need for the ruger anymore, chucks(all seven),cats are gone.
