Viking and a Custom Faded Hot Pink. Put the hornet on the dashboard of your pickup for a few months and it will fade to a peach color. Be sure to rotate the crankbait so both sides match.

you think the fish care??? rotating them that is.;:;rofl :;:huh

0419162123.jpg If anyone has this perch color in 5F from Scheels and do not use or want I'll gladly buy them from you. They have their time and place and I cannot find them anymore. Or if someone can replicate this color. Thanks

Most salmo hornet cranks are 4.19 to 4.49 for most colors at Cabelas.com right now. Good time to stock up!

More of a Rap than Salmo guy. Usually start black/silver then move on to "match the hatch" if necessary. Sometimes "match the hatch" is someone yelling over a me about "Firetiger".

That is a good deal from Cabelas!

I have had great luck with the Dalmatian color. Seems like it imitates small white bass and crappies.

I've turned into a salmo fan after this week. I've run them before and have had good luck, but I got tired of chasing flickershads left and right. Especially when it's in tournament hours.

Viking, green uv, and custom jobs. All worked pretty great.

DM, the black tiger was the only one that caught me a fish at the "secret hole". So if I can catch a fish with it, you KNOW it's dynamite. I mean, really... especially at THAT lake. I mean, the fish were committing hari-kari with other fisherman, and then there's me.

So, you know the black tiger is the ticket.

Here's what I do know. When you choose a color to buy, throw another one in the basket. I've been duped by only having one color in two separate tournaments now.

there is a new nordic perch color out there that intrigues me...

After many arm-chair/riverside/leaning-on-the-boat-in-the-garage conversations, I'll say it looks good.

It would seem that contrast ends up being more important than any specific color.

There are those that would disagree - that would say "neat, but should be blue". And sometimes I'd be one of them. But this lure DOES have that oh-so-important contrast.

And, being a salmo, the action is tough to beat.

Anyone have any new hot colors they have been using since 2016? There are so many new exclusive colors at all the different stores it’s hard to buy them all.
