In the Governor tag trophy game the 29K he paid is chicken scratch compared to allot of them. Most sheep tags in good areas fetch 200-300K
The antelope island muley tag brought 410K last year...no joke!

Well the results are out and I DID NOT get drawn again. I do have 18 point for antelope now though.

I'd hunt the "Dark Continent" a bunch of times before I'd drop 31K for an antelope tag, let alone 300K for a sheep. Yikes!!!

Its just a big charitable tax write off for those guys KDM, probably a free hunt for most or close to it.

Oh I know that 5575 and I'm NOT upset that they donate their cash to an outdoor end. I'd just do it differently I guess. If I was that wealthy and loved the outdoors, I'd probably spend that 300000 sending a bunch of guys on a cool hunt, say for elk or moose, instead of sending myself on one hunt I probably don't really want to go on anyway. That's all. But to each their own I guess.

Much as I'd like to hunt antelope, for 31K I could hunt Africa. I'd be able to hunt cape buffalo, wart hog and gemsbock along with airfare, tips for the staff and import fees.
