Haven't been on here for a while but it seem like people are kind of cranky today or is it that way all the time ?

Spent a couple weeks at sea, All sorts of stories, Mostly rough seas. I rode out two major storms in the big boat and it was pretty cozy in there , big wind ,rain and hail . Saw one boat sink , One pushed way up on shore and swamped with water and one Pontoon at a 45 degree angle, One boat got loose and was on the rocks and a jet ski was almost sunk. Lots of boats that took on water and were on the verge of going under. Saw an orange lifejacket fly by by about 30 feet in the air and 50 MPH. Those were a couple good storms. Fished a few days after the 4th, mostly catch and release but kept two decent limits of 16-20 then went home. Second trip down I got ahead of the storm at rugby and in the boat just as the storm hit and rode that one out too. Could have probably won a tournament two or 3 days after the second big storm, I was shocked to find a big nest of pigs. I kept a nice limit and threw back some real big fish, The next day they vanished and for the next few days all I could find is smaller fish again. Didn't travel far but learned a little about the casino area. Never did play bumper boats at the bridges , They were catching a few there but from what I saw most were small. Stator went out of fishing boat so I am waiting on parts.

Called out a couple times on channel 69 but no response , I noticed the radio has two settings low watts and 25 watt, 25 watt should easily cover the whole lake Over

Absolutely from the best fishing spot in Devils right on the shore. I have taken a few co workers there always lights out every time. It has got some awesome structure about 75' out, this spot is a one pole per person because it is only 8 to 10 feet wide, which means snags on one side and fewer fish on the other side. Going out in the boat this weekend for fishing has no boundaries where a group of volunteers take people.with some sort of disability . Last year did not work out so well because of the wind but hoping this weekend will be awesome.

I have noticed I am crabbier lately.

sorry for bringing the attitudes down, but between Hillary, blacklivesmatter, windy ND, lack of fishing, and the oil turndown, its definitely put sand in my crouch.

I know I did it to myself, I have found a passion on two wheels that competes with my fishing time, I have also allowed one of my daughters to play a weekend sport effing up a few lake weekends, and then the dead starting battery deal really put a scoop of sand in the ol trunks.
