so who has johnny longbeard pinned down yet? i got the gobbler itch this year and am back in the game after a 10 year hiatus. have a few decent birds picked out but am still looking for a boss tom. havent been this excited to "rediscover" a lost to me reunion with an old hunting flame.. anyone else getting out this weekend? should be great weather

The boy and I have tags, but head to Sioux Falls for a Hockey tournement tomorrow and then go to Florida the day after we get back. Im hoping the masses thin out the little guys to make it easier for us later in the season.

My experience with turkeys is when you think you have them pinned down, they will thumb their nose at you and go the other way. Then some days they will do exactly what you hoped. One thing I'm pretty sure of is that you cannot entice a turkey into an area they don't want to go. Learn the areas they like to hang out and be patient.

few nice gobblers on 97th north of Bismarck. between 83 and 26th street. have to stop bonny every day to let them parade across. I noticed last week jakes where with ole boss tom this week that is not the case boss tom musta kicked little jakey out.

as a disclaimer I'm not suggesting hunting these as it is highly residential for those not familiar with it.

also you turkey nuts, how do you not get infested with wood ticks? turkey hunting sounds fun but I am deathly afraid of wood ticks like the west coast is afraid of gluten

Used to have a tag in my pocket while snow goose hunting. Drive around long enough, and you were bound to see a flock strutting right off the ditch. Easy pickins.
