Have only caught a handful of these, caught this one on the Missouri today.
Carp family right? I've caught similar ones on sak only with red in the fins and tail and a taller dorsal fin.

River Carpsucker. Caught a few on the Red. The quillback carpsucker looks similar, but with a way longer peak on the dorsal.

Thanks!
Yea them and the quillback are rare for me as well. He hit a jig and a swimbait of all things vertical jigging.

Theres one more specie, the high fin carpsucker, which i dont think i could distinguish one from a quillback.

While I was bow fishing a clearer water bay here a couple years back, I saw a school of around 40 of those.
