Has anyone installed an aftermarket folding hitch on their boat trailer? I am pondering the idea as it will make my storage situation much easier. The process looks very simple, other than I will have to put in flexible brake lines from the actuator to the Y in the trailer. I just worry about strength, my single axle Shorelandr has a 19' Pro V on it and it seems like a lot of weight for the setup. Would you recommend a Fulton type kit or getting it straight from Shorelanr? Any other tips? Thanks!

Just looked, lot of YouTube videos on the install. Good luck, let us know the ease or PITA of it.

It's not a difficult task from the looks of it. I've got a note in to Shorelandr to see what their tongue replacement piece will cost. It sounds like it will bolt on, so we will see. If I get it done I'll post up.
