I thought you liked the guy. I forget, honestly.

I was at the Veterans Cemetery for a Memorial Service on monday, and Burgum spoke. He didn't do a bad job, but like any politician, he spent some time going over the awesome things he's doing. I didn't really think his moment on the stage, at a Veterans Cemetery, was the appropriate time to build himself up. But what do I know?

I really haven't been paying much attention.

They cannot pass up an opportunity to snag a few votes... I agree politics at a memorial speech is not appropriate

I think it was the Becker run that you and Sluggo questioned my rational / judgement on. (Facebook maybe?)

and yes - that was NOT the time for Burgum to make it about him - but he's a true politician so.....

He has money to burn and wants to be in the limelight for awhile, during his run makes him pound his chest. I do a lot of work for the state don't know many that like him he really has changed to much at state level since coming on board and not for the good people leaving like bomb went off over all his idea's and believes.

Politicians LIE to you, flip flop positions, sell their constituents out in the interest of agendas instead of what's right, and only look out for their own pocketbooks. ALL OF THEM!! If a car dealership lied to you like any rookie politician, it would go under in about a month, let alone a politician with experience. The phrase "Crooked as a politician." wasn't coined because they are upstanding and honorable people. Carry on!!

The bribes are impossible to avoid, whether monetary or otherwise.

It is with good intent that most go into the game, but its the devils game, and no one wins.

Yep. Many go in with good intentions, but wave money in front of their faces enough times, and they're bound to grab it.
