Blue Gill / Crappie Lakes

Are there any good panfish lakes within an hour or so of Grand Forks ND Minnesota or ND side? I know that there are some good panfish lakes in the Detroit Lakes area but not sure of any over here. Just looking to take my son out for some fishing is all and dont really feel like dealing with Devils Lake just looking for some good panfish action.

Fished at Maple lake near Crookston for crappie with all good success a few times.

Lots of good lakes around Bemidji country for gills and crappie. Some are managed for gills though as limit is only 5 on some of them so use lake finder to check it out.http://www.dnr.state.mn.us/lakefind/index.html Good luck!
