Thinking of replacing the Accu Stock on my Savage 270 Win with a Boyd's Harwood stock. Anyone else done this?
Was wondering if would get better accuracy?
I think it would look sharp.

I put one on a 223, everything fit smooth and flush. Stock was done really nice. I didn't bed it but groups have always been consistent.

I put a Boyd's stock on my 25-06 a few years ago. 98% inletted from the factory, that last 2% was way more work than the first 98% done by a milling machine. Nonetheless, I enjoy woodworking and just let it be my hobby for a few weeks one winter using a dremel tool and sandpaper. Then I bedded the action and free floated the barrel before finishing the stock, no complaints at all about the accuracy.
