my folks are in need of an HDP (or similar material) water tank that measures approx. 6'L x 30"W x 6'H

Can someone tell me if there are fabricators that build such things in eastern or western ND?

Round tanks are "easy" since they don't require support - but space efficient square tanks seem like they'd need an internal or external framework to keep them from bulging out. they want it square to optimize space.

Thanks!

Ag spray equipment in Fargo or any similar farm tank dealer might have something.

I know they make rectangular tanks with the metal caging around them that fit in a pickup bed.

I work with tanks all the time. We have a fab shop in Eureka, SD where we could make one from carbon or stainless steel.

Or if it needs to be non-metallic, I would look to Chem-Tainer, or Polytank. I can help you with that, if you like.

1200-ish gallons is heavy, so yes, it will probably bulge.

Alternately, sometimes to save cost, a person will use pre-cast...

I understand what you are saying, but maybe I am used to seeing it shown as (6'L x 30"W x 6'H)? Just being nit picky.

We have a bunch of tanks made there to. Mostly it is steel tanks for our fuel or oil storage. Plus the kuchen is awesome in Eureka.

I usually use dims in inches, or feet. Not both. I'm inflexible... LOL. Regarding length x height x width, don't matter to me. We'd put the connections on wherever you like.

Anyhow, that works out to be about 675 gallons.

Does a corrugated galvanized stock tank hurt your feelers? Maybe with a lid to keep the critters out? I'm guessing that it would be less expensive.

Otherwise, most tanks are cylindrical. Saw a million of them (on top of every building) in Addis Ababa. Most oriented like a can laying on its side.

Yup, make a lot of fuel tanks. Also water tanks, and you name it. Even make goose-neck trailers there. The guy that owns my company, also owns that one, so we're sister companies.

Find a used rv tank. Should be able to get the exact size you need.

the tank is indoors (for four season use)

the reason for rectangular shape is to maximize floor space/storage

Velveeta.... minus the ET
www.acqualogic.com.... i think i found what your looking for, click on the little 3 bar tab on top left of screen and go to water storage solutions, they have a tank that's 2.7 ft wide 7ft tall and 7ft long so that's pretty close to what your looking for and its square
