Back in the day when i was a little tike we had a family friend that worked on the big electrical towers when they were puting them together. He said people would come out to watch them assemble them way up in the air. Once in awhile they would take up a dummy and people would show up and they would throw that dummy off the tower screaming until it fell into a brush pile or buck brush. They had a guy laying in the brush pile and he would get up and brush himself off and yell out "if i fall off one more time, i am quitting"!
Can't say for sure it happened but wouldn't doubt it knowing the clown that he was but if not it still is a good story.
