Date of Deer Gun 2017?

the new proposed proclamation is supposedly going to eliminate the lottery system and open the Deer Gun tags for over the counter purchase…however the season is only going to be 1 day…first Friday in Nov. it will open at sunrise though…

Dang it, Thanksgiving falls in deer season this year. This is an ideal scenario if a guy has a buck tag and there are bucks to chase.

I called Game and Fish and talked to the supervisor in charge of the "season planning" committee. He informed me that due to the apparent 100% success rate of the archery season in addition to the land-owner tags, there will be only 5 tags per unit available for the lottery.....

Sorry for the bad news... Damn bow hunters and land-owners

I was under the impression it's always the first Friday after the first Tuesday of the month. That's why sometimes it's the first weekend, and other years it's the second weekend.
