Douglas Bay Boat Ramp

Sorry, this is not a fishing report. Whoever let all the air out of my vehicle tire over the weekend of July 9th at the boat landing, new ramp by the cabins at Douglas Bay and left this note on my window "Hey a**hole, do you know how to park? Want Lessons?" please send me a PM, I would gladly meet you for some "lessons". If anybody has any information please let me know because I'm assuming this person will not want to come forward. Thank You.

please don't take this offensively, but did you park like an asshole? do you have Wisconsin license plates?

those are 2 things combined will definetly get your valve stems removed around these parts. sorry I'm not any help, that would suck.

ND plates. Parking job is not how I would have personally parked, my buddy parked the truck...he is not familiar with where to park/how to park as he does not have a boat nor does he ever really get to go fishing/boating. I did not see where he parked until we returned. Another guy that saw what happened stopped over, said his daughter parked the same way not long ago and the same thing happened to them...released air out of tire.

So, maybe you and I would look at this "parking job" and say that isn't right but there sure aren't signs out there saying which way you are supposed to park. We need to realize that you or I may be able to back the boat in, unload it in seconds because we do it all the time, the next person may have never been to the lake before so he takes forever to unload the boat or doesn't park how the "experts" park.

I know damn well if I had a boat I'd either lose air or get blocked in no matter what I tried. Probably leave a note on the truck: "Sorry. Not trying to park like an asshole". etc.

Maybe this person, that is letting the air out of tires should stand there all day, and tell people how to park instead of after the fact, then coming and letting the air out. What an ass! Did you happen to be parked on Corp land, as there are signs posted all over that state, "Please don't park on Corp land, because if you do they will close down this ramp".

All of the parking spots are on corp land. We were parked in a designated parking spot, not in the "no parking" area.

I was parked with a delivery truck right up next to the Southside stopNgo on south university drive Fargo years ago(25 or so). Well it turns out the spot I parked, around the side of the building right up tight on the sidewalk so I wouldn't have to push the 250lb cart load up the steep hill, pissed a guy off that was wanting to use the air hose that was on the wall which I was blocking.

When I came out to get my next load, he was wrapping the air hose all around the big truck mirror, so I asked him WTF, and he says learn how to park you effn asshole...haha
I said, touch my truck again and the police will be making a trip out. He swore at me some more and drove off. I will never forget that day as I was so upset about a guy acting like this while I was doing nothing wrong, I was about shaking in anger.

Ziegler's is the ramp in the NW corner of the bay I believe, I was using the new one by the cabins (the steep one)....I'm not sure what the name of it is, if it has one.

yes zieglers is that one... could be Igleharts (sp?) thats on the east side and have to go past a pile of cabins and is steep... kind of curious because I am around there all the time and have had no problems other than an old guy last year that was pissed off because I was looking at my electronics and not fishing because there was no fish and I must have gone over his spot

It does suck when people don't park like everyone else. BUT, if there are no lines drawn to show people how to park and the person parking has never been to the ramp before then I would say the people at Douglas Bay can suck a nut!

That is of course if you have in state plates. Someone lets the air out of my tires and I would hide in the weeds waiting for them. Gonna be hard to do it again with all their fingers broken.

Sub, no markings, as its more or less a prairie trail\gravel road into the ramp, and then the only place to park is in the grass\gravel\mud beside the trail.

while we are talking about parking the overflow parking at beaver bay on sakakawea is in that big open section by the pay box for camping that has the campground rules on it, There has been a few people pulling there trucks into the camping area and blocking in people who have campers out there, they mowed all of that this year so people could park down there.
