Anyone here do it? I've never really tried it before but am thinking about trying it next time I get out. Been doing some reading and watching videos on it and most of the time they talk about targeting bass. Anyone do it for Eyes?
Is there an ideal time/condition to use this method?

I've caught perch with drop shot and I know it works for walleye. Youtube has a couple good videos

I like the two baits at once using a heavy jig for the dropper.

There is a 1000 different way to fish for walleyes. To be honest I stick to three different ways and have no problem getting limits of fish. I jig, pull Lindy rigs, and pull cranks. to me those are the money for me when fishing. I have tried out other ways, but those are what I go back to and are my go to ways to put fish in the boat. I know a lot of guys that use spinners, but for me I have only used a half a dozen times and feel I get more fish with a more natural presentation of a Lindy rig.

Don't forget slow death ... that lure is cash

IMHO/E, catching them isn't "hard". Locating a bit more challenging; any bass tactic is fine. No reason a drop shot wouldn't be effective.

I can see drop shoting being good once you have located them and picking them out but trolling will find the fish way faster due to drop shot retrieve being slow

Trolling makes me sad because it destroys our Earth with all the CO2 emissions and stuff. If the PWT had balls it would disallow trolling, nets and live bait.

but what if I use an electric trolling motor and use the sun to charge the batteries? :D :;:

I have no problem catching walleyes trolling, I just think that trolling gets kind of boring sometimes and having a young son that is finally old enough to be interested in fishing I think it would be better for him if there was some casting and skill involved versus sitting in a chair waiting for something to bite.

You can still slow troll some shore structure and pitch cranks or jigs and it will cover the water faster (i do this a lot anymore) and then I'll dead stick a couple slow death rigs out the back... if that's not enough action... throw a planer board on and try to keep it out of the weeds while pitching cranks at the same time

Bass tournament anglers must find fish through knowledge of seasonal patterns, weather/water conditions and they're allowed electronics. They're saving the Earth through fishing; better than defecating on the po-leeces cars on Wall Street. They also don't need a kicker motor for increased CO2 and noise. Trolling is not evil, it's just not necessary.

There is a little thing called an electric trolling motor maybe you have seen one... min kota makes a suitable standard... oh and I guess you don't use your big motor to go across the lake or a truck to tow your boat or any number of other things... better quit using fishing line because it pollutes the lake... k thanks bye

Wow. I have hurt feelings both ways.. I guess two tools slipped on here. I was not trying to be insulting to any moron I may fish out: Feel free to destroy the Earth with your intermediate skill set, coal and CO2.

PS: I always seem to have problems with interpretation, reading and listening. I've discovered offending a deaf idiot is easy, quick and unpredictable. Conflict is especially facile when you're annoyed with repeating yourself. I blame car stereos and the public school system.
