This seems "bass specific" at first. IME I've turned walleye and trout short swipes into full blown strikes by changing size (mostly smaller NOT always) and smearing Power Bait Trout Paste on the crankbait. Countdowns in the lip divot and ShadRaps behind the fragile lip in a hydrodynamic blob. My go-to color is orange:

What I can't figure out is all the different opinions on colors of flashers in color combinations with the squids for salmon fishing Saq. Fishing downriggers 100 + feet deep, isn't the color irrelevant since the color spectrum is lost at that light level?

All except black, white and luminescent.
