Flex your arrows reminder

Was out shooting tonight and had a quick thought that I hadn't flexed my arrows yet tonight. Went through them 1 by 1. Got to the guy above and heard some fibers popping..... well won't be shooting it so I flexed it a bit harder and POP!

That is one thing I always seem to forget to do. I need to start don't need an arrow going through my hand.

This might hurt for a couple days.

I got the chills just reading the topic. I knew that picture would show up. first thing I thought of. I always do this target shooting but don't think I ever have hunting. I should check them tho, I have broke a few.

It isn't the shaft of the arrow through the had that bothers me. Its all the carbon splinters!

The full metal jackets r heavy I have been shooting them for five years now. If shoot tight groups you could ruin some arrows by denting the sides but they work great.

That is a very old picture. I'm not sure, but do you think the new siral wrapped arrows will splinter in this same manner?

I used to shoot groups until my first robinhood. Decided that shooting spots was much cheaper. I usually flex my arrows as I walk back from the target but not every time. If I clip an arrow, it gets tested for sure. I need to get back out and shoot. The 11 yards from corner to corner in my garage isn't cutting it anymore.
