Long story short. I needed a compact stock for a Ruger American. They made them in the past but no longer sell them. I’m trying to put together a rifle for twin 11 year old girls for their first deer season. After contacting them through customer service and they sent me one free of charge.

Ruger dies have good customer service. I purchased a used sr22 and it had major problems took it back to where I bought it from and they sent it in to ruger and the same week ruger got back and said they felt the gun was unsafe and wanted to destroy it then sent me a brand new one in the same color which were very hard to find at the time. No questions asked!!!

If you would like another rifle I have a Rem 788 22/250 with 3'' cut off the stock to shorten it up comes with a harris bi-pod and shells. You can barrow it if you like. Just PM me for more details. I like to see kids get into the hunting and shooting sports. LB

Ruger has long-been a favorite brand of thousands in the outdoors! From Bill Ruger's famed .22 auto pistol to the huge array of firearms in today's lineup, Ruger is American craftsmanship and value over & over. The 10-22 semi-auto rifle, the Blackhawk series of high-power handguns, the accurate M-77 rifle, the famed Red Label O/U shotguns...the list is long and great! In case you can't tell, I'm a huge Ruger fan and collector. Oh, and by the way, their customer service is top notch!

I wish they still made the Red Label. It was nice to have an American O/U available.
