What is your use just carrying the gun or a functional sling like the tab gear prs sling

I think the ones I use are Uncle Mikes. The pad where it would sit on your shoulder is stretchy(ish) and kind of tacky so it doesn't slip around a lot, i.e. I put it on my shoulder and I'm not always fighting it like a smooth leather one. Not too badly priced either if I remember right.

They are going on some deer rifles of different calibers. All bolt actions. Just would like to have all the same kind without having to switch them from one gun to another. Would use them in Wy or Mt or western ND. For Eastern ND, I hunt out of blinds now. Got tired of shooting running deer by busting up sloughs and tree belts :)

Lincoln, kinda...
Neoprene, period. It's the stretchy, grippy sling. Used to have pretty leather slings, they have gone the way of the dodo bird in my gun cabinet. I got tired of having to always slide it back up on the shoulder when out for a walkabout.

No particular brand comes to mind tho.

This is what I put on whatever carry gun I'm using. I only have one, so it's like Johnr and gets around. My decorator guns have a menagerie of slings, but the neoprene one is what is on my shoulder most of the time.

Haha excellent.
One slip up whoring at the old site, and my shinny reputation is tanted.

I have all butler creek slings. They are neoprene and stretchy, and I like em. The end.

I second this. As previously stated, I had a pretty traditional leather one when I first started hunting deer, but I would get pimched nerves in my shoulder from it. Went butler creek and haven't looked back. I think I have 3 slings. You don't need one for each gun, it's a waste of money like scopes. Move them around to fit the weapon/season that needs one.
